Our professional team is able to assess your needs and meet them. Some of the ways we can help you include:
New Asphalt Driveway
If you have a dirt or gravel driveway, you already know how hard they are to maintain.
Dirt driveways flood easily during a storm, causing your car to get stuck in the mud. The standing water caused by flooding is also a magnet for bugs, especially mosquitoes, which are a nuisance and can carry diseases.
Gravel driveways can also flood, but the biggest problem they present is that they are dangerous and can damage your car. Rocks could get kicked up into your undercarriage and cause damage to your car. Those small rocks can also chip windows and cause dents in your car.
If you have kids, it’s hard for them to ride their bikes or play on a gravel surface. If a child falls on an asphalt driveway, it might cause scraped elbows, but gravel can cause worse injuries. Small rocks could get into their wound, cut them, or get into their eyes.
Our experts can provide you with a beautiful and smooth asphalt driveway that’s easy on your cars and safer for your family. You could even use the smooth surface for kiddie pools, a basketball hoop, or a place to sled when it snows outside.
Driveway Repair
Do you already have an asphalt driveway? If your driveway is in need of repair, we have you covered.
Cracks in your driveway can cause major problems down the road. When water or ice gets into these cracks, it can cause potholes and other problems. Another problem that we see is uneven asphalt installed from other companies or unlicensed contractors. This can cause damage to your vehicle or injuries if someone trips and falls.
Our team can assess your driveway and determine if you need cracks filled or milling, which is when a layer of asphalt gets taken off to even the surface. If needed, we can also repave your driveway to give you the beautiful surface you deserve.
If you want to protect your driveway in the future, we can perform sealcoating, which protects your driveway from the weather and Sun.
We can improve your driveway for a fraction of the cost of our competitors, and we’ll make sure that the job gets done right the first time. We stand by our work and can provide you with an estimate that’s both competitive and fair.
Benefits Of Our Service
Quick completion
Asphalt doesn’t take as long to dry as concrete. Asphalt allows you to use your driveway within 3-4 days, whereas with concrete you’ll have to wait at least a week.
This distinction is an important one for homeowners, as most people can’t put their lives on hold for a week or more. We’ll give you an estimate of how long the project will take and treat your property like we’d want ours treated. As a licensed paving contractor, we won’t leave you a mess to clean up. You’ll get a beautiful finished driveway in a reasonable time that works for you.
Low maintenance
Dirt and gravel driveways require more maintenance than asphalt. The low maintenance costs of asphalt will lower your financial commitment over time, allowing you the financial freedom to improve other areas of your home instead of sinking money into dirt or gravel driveway maintenance.
Maintaining an asphalt driveway is also easier during the winter. Instead of spending time outside in the cold, you’ll be able to enjoy more time with your family.
Family and car friendly
Asphalt is a safer surface for vehicles and your family. You don’t have to worry about rocks kicking up into your car’s undercarriage or hurting your children. You also don’t have to worry about flooding, which can cause insect problems and stuck cars.
Asphalt driveways give your children a safe place to play. The flat surface is perfect for setting up a mini basketball court and for riding bikes. You can set up a soccer net on one end of the driveway so that your future star can practice shooting, and if your children like to play with chalk, asphalt is easy to clean off with a water hose.
Increased property value
If you plan on selling or renting out your home, an asphalt driveway will increase the value of your home.
Hickory is growing fast, which is causing a rise in property values. Renting and selling your home makes it easier to attract potential buyers and renters to your property. People want a safe place to store their vehicle. If they drive by your home and see a driveway in disarray, there’s a good chance they’ll move on to another property because they’ll assume that the inside of your home wasn’t well-maintained either.
What Is The Cost Of An Asphalt Driveway?
A frequent question people ask us is how much our residential asphalt service costs. While it’s impossible to answer this question without assessing your individual needs, it’s important to know some of the things that we’ll take into consideration when quoting you a price.
The first thing we’ll need to know is whether you need a new driveway or repair services. If you need a new driveway, we’ll need to know if you have a pre-existing driveway, and if so what kind. If you need asphalt repair, we’ll need to determine the extent of the damage to see if milling services are required. We’ll also need to know if you want sealcoating (which we highly recommend for all asphalt surfaces).
Our goal is to bring your vision into reality, and we’ll work with you to make it happen.
One we find out this information, we’ll be able to give you a fair quote. Contact us today and let us know what type of project you need help with!

Whether you’re a new business or an existing one that needs a new parking solution, we can help you attract new customers and give your business a new and exciting look. A new parking lot provides potential customers with confidence in your business.
Customers want to know that you take pride in your location. If they feel like you don’t take care of your business, they won’t trust the service you provide and look elsewhere. They also won’t go into a parking lot that isn’t maintained because they’re worried about their vehicles.
Parking lots with cracks and potholes can damage cars. If the driver can prove negligence on behalf of the parking lot’s owner, they can even sue for damages. A new parking lot can take care of that problem for you.
Our team of professionals will assess your space and determine the perfect size parking lot for you. We will provide you with a fair quote and ensure that you have the best parking lot in town. We’ll help you attract new customers and keep your old shoppers happy as well.
Commercial Parking Lot Repair
If you have a damaged parking lot that doesn’t need a complete overhaul, our asphalt repair services can help you achieve the same goals as a new parking lot.
We can fill any cracks or potholes that exist and use milling techniques to level out your parking lot if required. We can also use sealcoating to protect your asphalt in the future from water and the sun.
If your parking lot isn’t damaged, we would still recommend sealcoating as a way to extend the life of your parking lot and improve its appearance.
Benefits of Our Services:
Attract new customers
A beautiful parking lot creates an inviting atmosphere for customers.
If you’re surrounded by businesses, you need every advantage you can get. Think about all the businesses around Catawba County Community College. If those businesses don’t take care of their exterior, chances are high that customers will simply go somewhere down the road. Would you rather be the business that gets passed up or the business that pulls in those customers?
Code compliance
The city of Hickory, like most other cities, have regulations regarding the maintenance of homes and businesses. Hickory is a beautiful city, and our goal is to keep it that way. A paving contractor can help you avoid warnings and fines and also attract more people to our city.
Protect your customers and their vehicles
Potholes and cracks can damage vehicles and cause accidents. Word spreads fast in Hickory, and if people start talking about getting flat tires and damaged bumpers in your parking lot, it won’t be long before everyone decides to stay away from your business.
A maintained parking lot also makes it easier for emergency vehicles to access your business in case of an emergency. If your business faces an emergency, either from fire or a customer having a medical emergency, seconds matter. The last thing you want is for a firetruck or EMT to waste time trying to get navigate around potholes.
Professional paving services keep your business and customers safe.
Improved property value
The value of your business is directly tied to your parking lot. If you choose to sell your building or development, a professionally paved parking lot will attract buyers and lead to higher bids.
Much like residential properties, potential buyers will drive right past your building if the parking lot is in disarray. No one wants to buy a building only to sink more money into fixing up the outside.
If you run a commercial development that rents out space to businesses, someone looking to rent office space might bypass your project for someone else’s based solely on the parking lot. Asphalt contractors can help you increase your return on investment. Empty retail spaces cost you money, so call now!
Improved employee morale
Employees are more productive when they are proud of their business’ appearance. If the parking lot is in disrepair, they might get the impression that the owner doesn’t care about maintenance. If the owner doesn’t care, why should they?
Send a message to your employees that you take the appearance of your business seriously.
How Much Does Commercial Paving Cost?
Like our residential services, the cost depends on what your individual needs are. Do you need a new parking lot or are you in need of repairs? How many cracks and potholes are in your parking lot? Is there a need for milling and sealcoating?

Life. Well Crafted
The spirit of craftsmanship runs strong in Hickory.
The city began in 1863 as Hickory Tavern, until the city officially became Hickory in 1873. It was the first city to use the council-manager town government system in the state of North Carolina, and one of the first cities in the state to install a fully functioning sewage system and electric lights.
The city is also home to Hickory White, one of the oldest furniture makers in the United States. The company has been in operation since 1902, only taking a break from making furniture to product ammunition boxes for the military during World War II.
The city faced a crisis in 1944 when one of the worst outbreaks of Polio ever recorded occurred in the Catawba valley. The people of Hickory and the March of Dimes jumped into action and built a hospital, complete with doctors and staff, in only 54 hours. The quick action of the March of Dimes and the people of Hickory saved thousands of lives, and the project became known as the miracle of Hickory.
